DON'T MISS OUT ON YOUR MONEY!

Rely on an experienced lawyer

If you are not at fault for an accident, it is free of charge for you to instruct a lawyer in out-of-court proceedings. In practice, it is common for the opposing party's liability insurance to reduce various items without a legitimate reason. As the injured party, this reduction is usually to your disadvantage. Many insurance companies take advantage of the inexperience that most accident victims bring with them.

This is precisely why we can help you quickly and professionally after an accident: we are at your side after an accident and help you to get the maximum amount of money you are entitled to.

RIGHT TO AN EXPERT OF YOUR CHOICE

Stand up for your rights

Many road users waive their legal claim in the event of an accident, even if it is not their fault, and do not consult an expert - and lose a lot of money when it comes to settling the accident as a result of this waiver.

As certified motor vehicle appraisers, we are at your side to provide you with an independent, professional and legally compliant appraisal. Our work is characterised by more than 20 years of experience within the automotive industry and comprehensive expertise. We recommend you: Do not leave the claims settlement to the opposing motor insurance company. Stand up for your rights and claim the money you are entitled to. We will support you every step of the way.

ACT QUICKLY!

Commission an expert of your choice immediately after the accident

If you have been involved in an accident with your vehicle, it is advisable to allow as little time as possible to pass. Avoid allowing too much time to pass to preserve evidence and determine the extent of the damage. The right to have the costs of an independent expert, which you choose yourself, enables a vehicle owner or injured party to instruct an expert of their choice in the event of an accident or damage event. The costs of this are covered by the insurance company of the party responsible for the accident. Commission us directly as your independent expert and rely on us to promptly determine the extent of the damage, the reduction in value, the repair costs and the residual and replacement value of your vehicle.

THE DAMAGE IN ADDITION TO THE ACCIDENT

Accidents usually lead to a noticeable reduction in value

A mercantile reduction in value is given if a vehicle achieves a lower price on the market after an accident than a comparable vehicle that was not involved in an accident. You are entitled to this difference and must be paid out by the opposing insurance company.

Mercantile depreciation means that an accident vehicle would achieve a lower sales price than an accident-free vehicle despite being fully and professionally repaired; accident victims must be compensated for this. The adjective mercantile stands for market changes: An accident always reduces the value.

Mercantile depreciation can only be claimed as compensation for motor vehicles in the event of liability (no-fault).

The mercantile diminished value is made up of several factors, including the age of the vehicle, the extent of the damage, the operating performance, the new price and the replacement value.

IF THE CAR IS NO LONGER ROADWORTHY

The settlement of a total loss

The insurance company reimburses the injured party for the replacement value less the residual value of the vehicle involved in the accident. If no residual value can be determined, the insurance company must pay the costs of the costly utilisation, e.g. scrapping.

Estimation of repair costs:

The expert determines the repair costs for the repair of the vehicle involved in the accident. Comparison of costs and value: If the repair costs are higher than the replacement value or if the vehicle cannot be repaired economically, it is considered a total loss.

Payout:

The insurance company reimburses the policyholder the replacement value less the residual value of the vehicle. If no residual value can be determined, the insurance company must also pay for the costs of the costly recovery.

TOWING COSTS ARE BORNE BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY

No advance payment for towing costs

If your vehicle is no longer roadworthy after an accident or technical defect, the towing costs are usually covered by the insurance. This means that you do not have to pay the towing costs in advance or pay for them.

This arrangement is designed to provide you with financial relief in a stressful situation by having the costs of the towing service covered by the insurance company. This allows you to concentrate on taking the necessary steps to repair or replace your vehicle without having to worry about the financial burden of towing.

COSTS APART FROM THE ACCIDENT

Have medical costs reimbursed as a result of the accident

In the event of accidents through no fault of your own, medical expenses should be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable laws and insurance conditions. These costs can include a wide range of medical expenses:

  • Emergency and hospital treatment costs
  • Doctor's visits and examinations
  • Physiotherapy or rehabilitation
  • Prescribed medication
  • Medical devices or aids
  • Specialist consultations

Other medically necessary expenses caused by the accident.

It is important to keep all receipts for medical expenses to support the claim for reimbursement. These documents must usually be submitted to your own insurance company or that of the person responsible for the accident.

Reimbursement of medical expenses is a common part of the claims settlement process after an accident to ensure that you are adequately compensated for the medical expenses incurred. It is advisable to contact the insurance company directly to clarify the reimbursement process and the steps required to make a claim.
